WEEK OF PRAYER
January 5 – 12, 2014 Starts: Sun, Jan 5 at 12:00 AM | Ends: Sun, Jan 12 at 11:55 PM
The annual call to prayer for all PAONL churches and members. Let's join our
hearts in prayer across the Fellowship and believe God for the answers!
Pray without ceasing. (1 Thess. 5:17, KJV)
Daily Prayer Focus:
Day 1 - Sunday - Your Local Church and Pastors, Church Ministries, Ministry Leaders - It was he
who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and
some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of
service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach
unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature,
attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians
4:11-13)
Day 2 - Monday - Your Local Community, Your Province, and the nation of Canada - If my people,
who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and
turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their
sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Day 3 - Tuesday - Missions and Missionaries around the World - He told them, "The harvest is
plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to
send out workers into his harvest field. (Luke 10:2)
Day 4 - Wednesday - PAONL Leaders: Provincial and Presbytery - I urge, then, first of all, that
requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings
and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all
godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who
wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy
2:1-3)
Day 5 - Thursday - Salvation of the Lost - For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.
(Luke 19:10)
Day 6 - Friday - A Fresh Outpouring of the Spirit - And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on
all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will
dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants,
both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. (Joel
2:28-29)
Day 7 - Saturday - Discipleship of all Believers - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to
Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and
desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
(Galatians 5:22-25)
